Won't repair cellphone because of "water damage" - phone wasn't near water

<p>My sister's cellphone suddenly stopped working - it won't even turn on. Because it's under warranty we sent it in for repairs. Today the repair centre called to say it will cost R2000 to repair because it's water damage. This is not true and I insist that Vodacom replace the cellphone or at least repair it. If water damage occurred, it happened between Vodacom Kalahari Mall and the service centre after the phone was sent in. This is really pathetic service, Vodacom.</p>
