Why is it so difficult ………??

I would like to know why it is so difficult to swap an old style larger SIM for a smaller one that fists in the newer phones. I asked my wife to do this for me when she went shopping at Nicolway; it would save me a trip. I want it use the SIM in my newer phone as well as my old one; I have a holder for the smaller SIM that will enable me to move it from phone to phone. The agent at Nicolway gave my wife the 3rd degree treatment. “Name five numbers that you called recently from this phone? And it’s not registered to you, you must get a letter of authorisation.” Etc. etc. and all very rude. WHY? Now I have to make a special trip myself. What is so difficult about this? Is there some law that justifies this procedure?
