Why does vodacom allow opera telecom to deduct money from customers?

Hi, on searching for info on opera telecom I have come across numerous complaints from customers asking how it is possible that a third party company can deduct money from vodacom customers? Is this even legal? I am now in the process of trying to get a refund on a subscription that was apparently started by me on the 21 March 2016 at R35 a day. I have calculated that this company owes me in excess of R3000.00. I did not give anyone any authorization to start this subscription and to deduct money from my account. How can Vodacom allow this to happen. Especially when there are numerous complaints about this company. I am needing a response for this complaint urgently.
