Why do Vodacom hate their loyal clients so much?

I was a big fan of Vodacom until a week ago when everything went haywire. I had 2 contract numbers coming to an end on 31 October 2016. The one was for an data contract and the other one for a iPhone contract. During September I asked for the data contract to be upgraded for another 2 years and the iPhone contract to be converted to prepaid. A simple instruction. As usual with Vodacom (and extremely annoying) when a contract runs out, it reverts to the 3G network. But not only did the numbers reverted to 3G, the data contract stopped working. I called the call centre 3 times to provision the numbers for LTE and to question the data contract . After receiving no joy, I went to the service centre at Menlyn on Thursday just to be told that everything was reverted to prepaid. I was astonished. On Monday I phoned the call centre just to be informed that the iPhone contract number was handed over to legal divison. This came as a big shock because the contract is paid up! I subsequently phoned the legal division who informed me that all the contracts are indeed paid up but due to a "system error" my whole account had been deleted! Wow. Ok. Vodacom is this is the way you want to treat me, that's fine. You don't have to reinstate my account and don't reinstate my data contract (I already took out another contract with Cell C). All I ask of you is not to bill me further because nothing is due. The relationship between me and Vodacom has deteriored to the extend that it is not recoverable. I will not ever take out any more contracts with Vodacom and I will not have anymore dealings with them. There are many competitors who will gladly take my business. Thank you for the past 4 years. The ride was good while it lasted. Choa!
