why did I honestly expect a reply?

Vodacom,

I wrote a review regarding my BlackBerry to which I upgraded a year ago, that will no longer support the whatsapp app from Dec 2016.

I really don't know why I even though that I would ever get a reply, silly me for thinking that a service provider will actually care about their customers.

As stated in my previous complaint, I have been a client for 16 years. The fact that you expect a client to pay in R7000 for a new phone/premature upgrade, is beyond me.

I own a business, and all my booking that go over hundreds every month are done through whatsapp. I get it's not really your problem and more on BlackBerry, but please just explain the following to me:

You are willing to lose a 16 year client, who has never had any problem regarding payment, and will continue to be a client for how many years to come.... just for the fact that you do not want to accommodate a unforeseen problem regarding a contract.

How is it even possible to expect me to pay a years penalties for a premature upgrade. Charge me for the phone, I completely understand. But why charge me for airtime I am not even going to use? R7000? Really?

Whatsapp is standard on every single phone, and in my case, its absolutely NOT even an option not to have. I won't be able to run my business, and that business I run, is the business that pays YOUR bill at the end of the month.

I know my small little amount I pay each month won't even effect you at all, but take that contract and multiply it by the years I'll still be a client.

Both my brother and father have moved to cell c, and to be honest, looks like I'm heading there too.

You would rather loose a client for years to come, than to do a premature upgrade, with a new 24 month signed contract?!

I am pretty sure, that I will not be the only client that finds this a difficult situation, and more people will be in the same predicament come December, and I am pretty sure that with you being so eager to help your clients, you will be losing a lot of business! I personally know of 4 people who are also in this situation.

I'll probably get a reply to this message stating that a consultant will phone me asap.... brilliant, because I'm still waiting for my previous call...

It's honestly such a complete let down and disappointment, an absolute disgrace that you don't even attempt to accommodate your clients...the clients who pay your bills, and the clients who support you!!
