Who is Liable?

I have never written a review before, especially a bad one, but I am so disappointed in the service... To give some background: I app**** for fiber in February 2023, it was a package deal and I app**** in store... I did not give any of my banking details due to the fact that I said I would prefer to pay the monthly fees in store.... as of January 2024 there were deductions made from my bank account, settling the account, I was taken aback because I gave NO authorization for Vodacom to do so. In May 2024 my bill was almost double the amount, and I was suddenly in arrears with my account; every debit order taken has bounced and my account was being penalized every time. I went in store to try resolve the issue, but they could not help me, and I understand. I then requested a "call back"... With the call back I explained the situation, only to find that my line was scheduled for cancellation (due to account being in arrears), that my package deal was no longer available and that I was placed on another deal (for which I also received NO communications and I gave NO authorization).I also explained that the address on my statements and the billing addresses where different; but I was told it would be corrected once I made some form of payment. I was then asked to pay an amount towards the account, to reactivate... and I personally asked for the line to be reduced...This all took place on the 20th of June 2024. The line was reduced on 21 June 2024... I received my account statement yesterday (7 July 2024) stating that my account is still in arrears... and that, after the fact that I made an additional payment to the account... I requested another "call back"... only for them to drop the call as I was waiting... My question is this... If I gave No authorization for debit orders, and NO authorization for "line migration" who is the liable for the payment? The original package deal was chosen to suit my pocket and now I am in debt for a mistake that I never made...
