Where did common courtesy go?
<p>I received a call from a consultant at Vodacom who dived into relaying this promotion available to me.Without me even agreeing to accept such promotion my details were already being confirmed.From what I've been told this is known as blind closing.Upon questioning the reasoning for this confirmation it was said it was for delivery.Imagine my confusion at something being delivered to me which i did not agree to purchasing. When told I did not agree to this i was offered another promotion in haste to move the process along...upon declining i was abruptly left replying to the phone receiver without so much as a goodbye. I understand the need to make sales yet I cannot condone the lack of simple etiquette that goes with it.Disappointing.</p>

A consultant did call and it was to my knowledge that the matter at hand would be addressed..however on Friday...a week after the original incident I received a call to say my package from Vodacom is waiting for me..imagine my surprise when I am under the impression that the issue was dealt with and knowing I did not consent to anything and told the sales consultant that it was declined...imagine my shock also when the product is being delivered to my home address when I was asked to confirm my work address..so now the company not only forced the sale but also processed it without consent and furthermore checked into my personal details? What next Vodacom? I was further contacted by the courier service and it was cancelled with them also...only to have it delivered the following day...enough is enough...clearly there is a need for competent consultants in more than one field...putrid customer service
