WHAT THE HELL ARE WE PAYING FOR . . .?

Very Poor customer care from Vodacom. All Vodacom cares about are their money, no concern about customer whatsoever.

My wife is still currently paying for mobile insurance taken from Vodacom. Her mobile device works perfectly fine, just the back of her Huawei P40 Pro is cracked and sent away for repairs with Vodacom but the response is that the insurance does not cover the device because the sim card that is registered to the insured device was not used since the device was 1st received when purchased.

Firstly, the sim card was never used and we haven't a clue what the number is of that sim and specifically made mentioned that she would like to continue using her old sim for the device. In this case I don't think the switch was done but what's worse is that there's no system in place to notify the customer perhaps after a while that your device will not be insured should you continue using the current sim in this device, but instead, continues the monthly insurance for almost two years knowing that the device is not insured.

My question: WHAT THE HELL ARE WE PAYING FOR ??

I understand the sim-card clause attached to this insurance but the sim card registered to the phone on their system was never even used and confirmed by Vodacom. She agreed to have her old sim card part of the contract and have been using it since she got the phone but have been paying monthly insurance since.

The level of patience and empathy for customers, the lack of availability and service should by all means be re-evaluated. No luck at all.

Left very disappointed and will continue to post this until I receive a decent response or cummunication from management. Conveniently nobody is available when calling.

I'd love to have the phone fixed or refund from the time I've been paying insurance when technically the phone was never insured as per Vodacom.

Absolutely Ridiculous.
I am very well aware of the terms and conditions. I don't think my message was read properly. The sim card was never used in the device from the beginning. What part of that sentence is hard to understand?

I am not happy with this reply and demand to be contacted by management as oon as possible.

Clearly my issue raised here was not well understood nor was it taken with any form of empathy.

A declined claim will be acceped if we could get a refund for what was paid all this time.
Once again, the sim card was not used from the time the device was received, my wife made it clear that her old number will be used and that this number should be registered with the device but this was not done.

I am very disappointed and expect a better evaluation here.
