What Service??

Dear Vodacom

This whole experience was quite appalling!

Firstly it all started when I wanted to port my number over to Vodacom. I went into the Waterfront in which I walked around waiting for someone to acknowledge me but no they were more interested on what was on their phones. Nevertheless I forced myself into someone's space for assistance.

The guy then proceeded to assist me, he inserted some data on his PC and I got an OTP in which he typed in, he then told me I need to wait 24 hours in which I will receive a SMS confirming the port. I asked him if I could purchase a simcard in the mean time as I have read that you could also SMS "port me" followed by the new SIM card number and that will do... He advised I shouldn't. This was Thursday.

On Monday (still no SMS) I went back to the Waterfront store and told my story to a young lady (who was busy sitting on her phone). She told me she could not assist because Vodacom is offline (which I understood). I then asked her if I can purchase a simcard in the mean time and she said it wouldn't make a difference. The reason why I asked for the simcard is because when I called in they also advised me to go the SMS route BUT NO ONE WANTS TO GIVE ME A SIMCARD.

Anyway.... Tuesday I went to Cavendish store and the lady then searched for my number. She advised me that FNB has not released my number. The next morning I called FNB Connect and they have advised me that my number has been released since July 2016 as per their port policy.

I called in again after that in which the consultant couldn't assist me and transferred me to the solutions department. I was on hold for almost 15 mins before I dropped the call.

I am skeptical of moving over to Vodacom as this is the worse service I experienced at a mobile network. I need you to take my feedback as constructive; your Waterfront store is PATHETIC! The service is beyond bad and for a flagship store it's crazy. You walk in and no one acknowledges or attempts to help you.

I am writing this review to give you a change to redeem yourself. Help me port my number to Vodacom without any pains if you can't then I will remain or choose a different network. It's sad tho as Vodacom has the best coverage but the service is completely awful.

Regards
