WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO ESCALATE A NETWORK ISSUE TO MANAGEMENT?
Our Vodacom network is intermittently down, sometimes for several days, in our small village in the Karoo.
I have tried [on behalf of our Vodacom subscriber community] to escalate this issue to Vodacom management, but it seems that Vodacom management may not be contacted.
I sent the following message via FB messenger:
“Could you please give me the contact details for your networks management. I want to escalate a complaint on behalf of the Vodacom clients affected in Venterstad. Thank you”
The response is always the same: “As previously advised we are aware of the current network issue in your area, rest assured our technicians are working diligently to get the network restored. Regrettably we are unable to provide you with an ETA as to when it will be resolved, your patience is greatly appreciated.”
This has been a problem since 2020. Being aware does not help if the problem does not get sorted out!
IS ANYONE IN MANAGEMENT AT VODACOM INTERESTED IN SORTING THIS OUT?
I have the names of several of your clients who are fed up with Vodacom network.
Thank you for making us aware of your complaint.
Kindly be advised that a consultant will make contact with you in due course to assist with your query.
***Please note*** Beware of phishing ****s.
Vodacom will not contact you via WhatsApp to request your personal details.

Vodacom Consumer Website Team

Following this post and after answering the same questions [including submitting the names of 43 Vodacom customers affected by the constant drop of network], I got the following reply from Vodacom Consumer Website Team [an actual human responding, I think]:
"Kindly be advised as per the feedback received from the Network Division and as previously stated:
Planned Tower (Lyciunville) - I advised the customer and there is no time frame for completion."
In other words, nothing will be done to solve the problems.
Yesterday, I received the following [automated] SMS text:
" Dear Vodacom Customer, we are optimistic that you enjoyed the service experience. Your query with ref number *** has been attended to. Visit My Query: [site address removed] to track the progress. Your continued support as a loyal Vodacom Customer is highly appreciated."
"the service experience" ??? = we are not going to do anything
"query ... has been attended to" ??? = we are not going to do anything
"track the progress" ???
