Waterproof phone not covered for water damage
I bought my Sony Ericsson D2403 Aqua phone in November 2014. From the start it was clear that the covers/ rubbers that should conceal the openings alongside the phone is not of good manufacturing quality. Only a small peace of plastic keeps it attached to the phone. In April 2015 my phone started giving me problems, turning off at it self. The phone tells you when the cover of the openings are not properly attached , so it can't be that the openings were not covered after charging ext.
I send in the phone for repairs , making them attend that the seals that are purpose to be waterproof seems to be broken letting water and moist through .
After a period they have notified me that the phone has water damage and a amount of R 2 800 was to be paid .

How can a phone that is advertised and sold as a Aqua water resistant phone not be covered against water/moist damage. This is falls advertising and a false sale pitch. After numerous back and forth communications the phone is still with Vodacom, the problem still unresolved
