Warraty Claim voided due to scratches

I took my Iphone 6 Plus into the Gateway repair centre due to the Wifi and Bluetooth buttons being greyed out as I am unable to activate them.

I handed my phone in on the 6/01/2016 and was asked to sign a printed form as receipt of my repair.

I called their main contact centre today to enquire about the phone only to be told that my warranty is now void as my phone allegedly has minor scratches on the screen and back cover.

The great irony here is that at no stage when I handed it in, did the technician make mention of any scratches or point these supposed scratches out to me.

What he did do though was add them to the check boxes on the form and comments to that effect WITHOUT ever mentioning a word to me.

My phone has been in a cover since new. I only took it out the cover at the repair counter when I handed it in and if there were scratches, why were they not pointed out to me at the time, especially as these now form the reason for rejecting my claim?

So, Apple owners, ensure sure you ask Vodacom to verify and show you any scratches BEORE you sign any form for the receipt of your phone as from my experience this was never done and should have been done
