WARRANTY MEANS NOTHING

I Purchased a Vodafone platinum 7 a year ago. I was using the phone when it just blacked out. It wouldnt switch back on, and if I tried it on the charger the LED just flashed. I handed it in under the 24month warranty at woodmead vodacom. They sent it for repairs and sent me messages saying that its been quality checked and returned. When I went to collect it, the rather uninterested technical clerk simply handed me my phone back and said they do not have parts so it cannot be repaired. Firstly I have not idea whats wrong, and as its a warranty issue, they should clearly repair or replace. No sorry, nothing. Just a we cant fix it. I dont mean to be funny what good is a WARRANTY if they can simply say sorry we cant help when its a VODAFONE!?
