WARNING!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE VODACOM AS YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER

It’s been 3 days that I have dealt with Ashaky which has been EXTREMELY frustrating. After several calls and promises to phone me back which never happened. If I don’t hear anything from you by 13:00 tomorrow afternoon, I will escalate the matter.

Bottomline is, I want to cancel my contract ***) with Vodacom from the 30 September due to the following reasons:

- Absolutely no customer service. I had Vodacom staff intentionally trying to aggravate me. I called out two of your staff and only then they reacted on my request. - Vodacom changed the terms of my contract without my consent or knowledge. The contract started on the 31 October 2021 which means that I’m at the end of my contract. Now Vodacom said that the end of my term is only at the end of January 2025. - A previous time I wanted to cancel my contract due to VERY bad service and the consultant said that he will make it worth while and added 20G to my contract at no charge. Now Vodacom decided to take the 20G away without any communication or any reason. The 20G became part of my contract with Vodacom but then again Vodacom decided to change the terms of my agreement by just stopping to add the 20G.

My experience the past 3 days with Vodacom.

- 03/09/2024 at13:03: I phoned ***. After getting through and introducing myself the consultant dropped the call. - 03/09/2024 at 13:05: I phoned *** again. After getting through and introducing myself the consultant dropped the call again. - 03/09/2024 at 13:08: I phoned 082 135. I had to explain myself to a consultant that had no idea what to do. I requested a manager. He called Ashaky Bissessar. Again, I had to explain my story (by this time I’m fuming). Ashaky told me he will phone me back, I said to him no, he will cancel my contract because of the reasons above. I also explained to him that Vodacom staff does not phone their customers back and for that reason I will not wait for him to phone me back but that he will cancel my contract. Eventually he promised that he will definitely give me a call back. WHICH HE DIDN’T as I told him. - 04/09/2024 at 10:44: I phoned ***. Again, I had to explain my story and ask for a manager. I then spoke to Shane. Shane promised me that he will go straight to Ashaky to phone me back. Again, I said that I will hold the line because Vodacom don’t phone their customers back. He promised that he will walk with Ashaky to give me a call. More that an hour later I received a call at 12:10 which I could not take at the time. - 04/09/2024 at 12:38: I received a call from Ashaky. He said that he will escalate the matter. I asked him what he has done about my situation since the day before and it came down to nothing. He asked me if he can call me back at 16:00 the same day. I asked that he rather call me at 09:00 the next day (05/09). I even told him to make a note to phone me because he never phone back. AGAIN, Ashaky did not bother to phone me back. - 05/09/2024 at 14:17: Phoned *** AGAIN. I spoke to Ian Govender (He tried to assist). He called Ashaky to come to the phone. Ashaky gave me a pathetic excuse why he didn’t phone me at 09:00. Apparently, he had First Aid Training. If that was the case, he should have said that he will not be able to phone me at that time and suggest another time.

Today 06/09/2024, I had to phone Vodacom again after I have sent e-mails to: - *** - *** - ***

Now Vodacom blocked my number due to the high volume of calls made to Vodacom to get my issue resolved, which is still not one step closer to be resolved.

I had the same experience on a previous occasion with Vodacom.

Reading through the other complaint. It seems that Vodacom has no interest in serving their clients. I have experienced incompetency on a different level. I call on Shameel Joosub to assist by investigating my case and addressing my frustrations. Show that you value Vodacom clients. No matter how big or how small. Your employees failed you dismally.
