Waiting for a week to have a sim card activated

I app**** for 2 new contracts from Vodacom. I did this via the internet, and when i heard nothing from them, i went to the Vodacom 4u shop in Rosebank Mall. I waited about 5 days to hear if the contract was approved. But since I went to pick up the phones, i have been struggling to get the sim cards activated. Does it really take a week to activate 2 sim cards...... And further insult, they keep saying they are off line as they are moving to a new system now, as if it is my problem.. I'm very upset about this, as i have two data sim cards with them, and i didn't have 1 day's problems with it.. but honestly 5 days and the sims haven't been activated yet.
