Vodashop Eastgate shop broke my Apple Watch and refused to fix it

Vodacom Eastgate shop broke my Apple Watch and refused to fix it I took my Apple Watch in for repairs after it had overheated. It had a hairline crack due to overheating. It clearly stated in the Job-card that the watch had a hairline crack The watch was returned not fixed and it was completely smashed [Note about hairline cracks - Apple replaces/fixes heat-based hairline cracks] The watch was completely smashed. the store manager insisted that the smash is due to issues with the overheating. but there were visible marks showing mishandling. He took me to apple store. where they confirmed that they would have replaced / repaired the watch under warrantee if it only had a hairline crack. but that was physically damaged. After that a circus started

The manager left the watch at apple store. I refused to take it from the apple store consulted as I did not bring it in. They gave it to the Vodashop manager. I went into the shop to ask the consultant who assisted me with the watch to confirm the state of the watch. 2 vodashop manages started man-handling me to force me to take the watch. They even called security to force me to take the watcj. I asked the security person to leave the watch as it was NOT the watch I took into the store. I left the watch at the store and reported this to Vodacom. Vodacom customer experience consultant reached out to me and offered assistance - Thanks for that The condition however is that I there must be an upgrade or I must open a new contract for me to be reimbursed - Probably a fear of loosing a customer. My average individual spent on Vodacom was R2800. at the time. I have since started moving away. My remaining spend is R1800.

I have not decided if I am going to upgrade or not. One of my lines is due for an upgrade and I am not ready to upgrade. My issue is more with the store than with Vodacom. But Vodacom will lose me as a customer if they do not get their stores in order

The issue is not that the they fix watches or not. They returned it in a state completely different from what I sent. I sent it in with a Hairline crack, They returned it completely smashed. The entire screen completely shattered. Apple does fix Hailine cracks under warrantee and the watch was still under warrantee. But the state in which the watch was returned WAS NOT A HAIRLINE crack. check the job card again.

Summary :
Watch sent in with Hair line
Watch returned Shattered

I took the watch as part of a Vodacom contract, so I took it in to Vodacom for repairs. The shop should not have taken it in, Break it and then tell me Vodacom does not repair watches. They should have just gave it back in the same state I brought it in, then it would be an apple issue
