Vodashop Cape Gate pathetic service and a bunch of ******!!!

In March I upgraded one of my contracts to a smart medium package at Vodashop Cape Gate.

They were running a promotion at that stage in that you get 1GB data free for 3 months, in my case, March April and May.

When receiving my account payable at end of April I noticed that I have been charged for additional data in the amount R306-43.

I went to Vodashop with my account and inquired why are they charging me for data as I have 1GB data for free for 3 months. I was dealing with a person called Jaco who went to the back of the store to speak to the manageress.

The manageress informed me that it is their mistake as there email system crashed and they could not notify Vodacom of the promotional data to be loaded to my account but they will rectify the problem and inform me accordingly. In good faith I paid the invoice in full with the hope that the additional amount for the data will be deducted from my next months account. Two days later I returned to inquire if there was any feedback. Jaco was off duty and I dealt with Michelle, whom was much more helpful and professional and after investigating she said they still have no answer back from Vodacom and that as soon as they receive information they will email it to me.

Needles to say it did not happen and I was charged another R661-17 for data on my May invoice. I once again went back with both my accounts only to be told by the manageress there is nothing they can do until they receive feedback from Vodacom regarding the issue and I should pay the account otherwise my account will be suspended.

At that stage I was really frustrated with the service that I was receiving and did not pay the full amount as this was their mistake and they are dragging their feet in resolving the issue.

On 1 July all 3 my Vodacom lines were blocked. I once again went back to Vodashop on the Sunday and spoke to Jaco and I requested to speak to manageress, He disappeared back into back office and returned a few minutes later saying the manageress is "not on duty" and that I can speak to him.

I told him I wanted this matter resolved immediately as this mistake from their side and I am being inconvenienced. He said there is nothing they can do and I have to sort the the issue with accounts department. He also send a email to some or other service desk which he "copied" there response to me via email showing a reference number (INC ********** 31514) with no email from them to follow up. I contacted the service centre and accounts department and they could not find any dispute logged on my account with that reference.

I returned again on Tuesday 5 July at about 17:30 to once again get some sort of answer.

I asked the assistant at the door to call the manageress and he disappeared to the back of the store just to return a few minutes later stating that the manageress only works until 17:00 and she has left already thus giving me the idea that she is avoiding me and Jaco is gone and not answering my mails.

To cut a long story short I left empty handed and thus had to pay 75% of the outstanding amount to get my service reinstated.

On 7 July I wrote an email to Coleen at thier Western Region offices listing my concerns. After a few days and no response to my mail I contacted her on thier land line and her response was as follows: "The manageress is back at work now and is attending to the issue."

Now a month further down the line still no email, no phone call, F***ALL!!!

All I would like to know what channel can I follow to get this issue resolved and that my money be paid back to me for data overcharged, which I must say the last month we did not use much of the data to avoid any extra costs as listed below.

Then what action can be taken against Cape Gate Vodashop for there pathetic service and there continuous deception and lies they were feeding me for 3 months??

I have been a Vodacom client since 1997 and never have I come across such a bunch of *********** people under one roof.

Really sad to say the least.

Overcharged data for March, April, May:

March - R306-43

April - R661-17

May - R101-43

Total: R1069-03

Surely I am not the only one with this problem? I think they use the money they force out of clients *******y to fund thier annual bonusses for a job well done! Shame on you!!!!!!!!!
