Vodaom SUPER Poor Coverage in rural areas
Goodday
I was a Vodacom customer for years and then moved over to MTN due toe a better package. In March this year I decided to moved back to Vodacom because your data packages was very attractive. BUT now I regret my migration from MTN to Vodacom. Reason... The coverage in the rural areas is SUPER POOR! I couldn't believed it. What happened to "Vodacom, SA's leading cellular network"??? Trust me, you are not the leading network anymore, otherwise you would make plans to keep your customers. I'm staying in Steynsrus, Free State and my reception is H+ and most of the time E+ signals. I'm a teacher and I couldn't make use of online teaching platforms during this lockdown period because my signal is too poor. I'm also a part time student at UNISA and they are planning to let us write our exams online, but I can't. I already failed one of my modules assessments due to the poor network coverage. I did logged a service call on 25 March 2020 with reference number *** and on 31 March I received a sms from Vodacom that state: ..."we are looking at improving coverage for your area in the near future. New site planned: Mattwangtlwang_CEN. We however cannot confirm time frames..." I spoke to some of my friends in town and they said that since they moved here 6 years ago, this was the exact message they get from Vodacom in that time. No Vodacom, this is not how you can be "the leading network"... I beg you, please do something otherwise you going to loose more customers from the rural areas. If this continue to happen, I will take my account back to MTN (trust me, I don't want to :-( ) Trust you will assist our rural areas ASAP. Kind regards Willie van Jaarsveld
