Vodaom Help desk unhelpful- easier to stonewall

I requested early termination of a business data contract. I received a quote 2016/01/19, made payment and sent ALL required documentation back to the email address specified in the quote Vodacom on 2016/01/22. I received acknowledgement of the mail with reference EC-04NE-38EC2Q.

On 2016/02/11 I received a statment indicating the payment had been received AND another invoice. I queried this with a number of calls and eventually spoke to Bongani on 2016/02/17 09:41 (refer to voice recording). He admitted Vodacom had made a mistake and asked if I was willing to pay the extra and let it slide. I was not willing to do this but in March, the amount was debited from my account.

I followed this up again and received the a response from Kathy saying \*** was not cancelled in January as Corp Cancellations did not receive the signed quote in January but received it in February and since the line was still active in February an invoice was generated dated 03/02/2016.\" (Reference EC-04SF-2K8PBL). NB EC-04NE-38EC2Q proves receipt.

I am not at fault with regards to this cancellation. I've comp**** fully and want a refund. Surely consumer protection should apply here?"
