Vodafone Mobile WiFi R218h connection problems

I have upgraded my WiFi contract and received a WiFi router in June 2019.Since then I have endless connection problems.My wifi signal on my phone shows a small x and I cannot use the wifi.I have contacted the Vodacom call centre and every consultant I have spoken to has told me to take the battery out.After doing that my WiFi works and then it refuses to connect.I called the call centre and they asked me to take the SIM card out the router and put it in a cellphone so they can remove the pin.I have told the consultants that the SIM card in the WiFi has never been in a phone and does not have a password.I then explained to the consultant that when the new WiFi router arrived I took the SIM card from the old router and put it in the new router so there was no need for a pin/password.The problem persisted then I contacted Vodacom again and they synchronised the network but it only helped for a short while.I contacted the call centre yet again.The consultant said they don't see anything wrong on their side and told me to go to the nearest vodashop and have a technician have a look at the router.At the vodashop the technician gave me a new router the same model as the one I received with my upgrade.The new router worked fine at first,I now have to constantly take the battery out the router,switch my WiFi connection on my phone and reconnect or switch the router off completely after a few hours then switch it back on.With my frustration I went back to the vodashop only for them to do exactly what I did and tell me that they don't see anything wrong and that when it happens again I must come back.As a service provider I am not happy with the service.I have spent my time,money,petrol and still today the 2nd of January 2020 I still have the same problem with my WiFi router.So as a paying customer I am asking for someone to come up with a solution to my problem or I am forced to cancel my contract on grounds of failing to provide a network service.
