Vodacom/Vumatel - Terrible Combination!

I have recently changed service provider from Axxess to Vodacom and I have been without internet connectivity or service since 30 April by Vodacom/Vumatel. The line was released by Axxess on 2 May 2024. To date, I been spoken to at least 5 consultants and two sets of technicians who came to my house twice. In all instances, I have been promised that the line was either released and available by the previous ISP (Axxess - also with terrible service), or that the line should be active within an hour of technicians checking the line physically. It is day 7 without the internet, with very little to no communication. When communicated to, the same promise of receiving a response as soon as possible and that the matter has been escalated. I am sick and tired and completely powerless, hence taking this last resort. I am tired of calling every day and having to explain to each new person the reasons for my call. My wife and I work from home, we have been negatively affected by this and have had to spend extra for connectivity.

This is a terrible service across board and everyone pointing fingers to another. I called Vodacom atleast 3 times a day since 2nd of May, each time I’m told they’re working on it and I will called or be notified later when the line will be activated. Vumatel have sent technicians twice, not sure to come do what, and both times they’ve left without an active line. This issue has been supposedly been escalated to Vumatel with zero positive result.

I want this issue addressed ASAP!

Reviewer Update
Just as guidance for when they finally contact me:

1. Please do not ask me what the problem is - I’ve already explained it multiple times both in writing and verbally;
2. My contract is with an ISP, it is your responsibility to liaise with the fiber provider. I should not have to be the mediator like I have been;
3. I receive communication everyday about the same update - that my issue is being addressed. Rather not send until the issue is actually resolved;
4. In order for me understand what the issue is, I’ve asked specific questions and asked that someone answers those. Zero response. Please respond to those questions first; and
5. Please do not ask me to test and check the status of the devices on your behalf. Send a technician to do so and make sure they confirm that WiFi is working before they leave. I’ve already spent way too much of my productivity time doing this.
