Vodacom...Voda*******ed. Greedy service providers doing ******* deductions
Vodacom does not really cancel any contracts without milking you for more money. Back in 2020 June/July I took out a data contract with Vodacom. It was valid for 36/48 months which means the contract converts to a month-month basis. After all these years of service I had to relocate and the area we were moving to had fibre which of course suits us much better. My contract already converted in 2024 around June/July and on 19th of August I requested my contract be cancelled. It wasn't long after that I had received a call from a Vodacom agent that tried getting me to upgrade rather than cancel. I kept insisting on cancellation and he said if that is the case they will still deduct money from my account for September because they have a 30 day cancellation policy and the next payment falls within those 30 days. I fully accepted this as I knew about it already. Surprise-surprise October came and they tried to take money out of my account. November rolls along and again this time they tried to take double the amount for both Oct and Nov. It was shortly after their failed attempt to deduct money that they handed me over to lawyers who keeps hammering on the fact that money is due to them. This is extremely disgusting because this just proves that they won't cancel anything without getying more out of their "loyal clients" what a way to show appreciation for years of doing business with them... if hello peter can please assist in taking this matter further with the consumer rights as this is gross misconduct and I believe I'm not the only one
