Vodacom’s WiFi calling doesn’t work!

I am deeply upset that South Africa’s #1st provider cannot enable a simple feature on my mobile number.

I ported to Vodacom about 1.5 weeks ago, and everything works except for one crucial component that I require, which is WiFi calling.

I’ve called the Support Centre numerous times to ask to activate it and it just does not work! I have an iPhone 8 and the WiFi calling feature is enabled on my phone, but the carrier never gets changed to “Vodacom VoFi”.

I have gone to 2 Vodacom shops and we have confirmed that WiFi calling is supported on my device with Vodacom. We took the consultant’s Vodacom SIM card and placed it inside my iPhone 8 and the WiFi calling immediately worked using the consultants SIM card.

I am truly regretting my decision to move away from Cell C. Their WiFi calling worked line a charm on my device.
