Vodacom’s ********* business practice- iPhones that are malfunctioning

I just have to share my unfortunate experience with the cellphone company I was loyal to for more than 13 years. I got a new iPhone6 from coda com in December 2017 and within a space of 6 to 7 months the battery swelled and it shut down completely. I took it back and I was given what was referred to a new iPhone 6. Within the space of ten months from getting the new phone it just shut off completely on its own. Upon repairs it was found that the ‘new iPhone’ PC board/motherboard failed which rendered the phone completely useless. Vodacom claims that the phone is outside the warranty even if I had the phone for less than 11 months. I mean everyone I know who use iPhone never had issues with iPhones within such a short period. Vodacom claims to be selling “new” iPhones yet the same just breaks on their own within such a short period. This could be an indication that Vodacom is selling people refurbished phones claiming to be new. I think people should think about this before purchasing their so called “new” iPhones from them. Unfortunately I am left with a contractual obligation of paying for something that just broke without own doing and I am so done with Vodacom and learnt the sad way. I sent an email of complaint and not a courtesy of response. Shameful indeed.
