VODACOM'S TECHNOLOGY IS FAILING THEIR CUSTOMERS WHO WANT TO CHANGE THEIR CONTRACTS TO PREPAID
My journey with Vodacom started many, many years ago and I have several contracts that I've taken over the years for family and my god-children. I've always believed in and defended Vodacom when others professed to endure poor service. All I can say is that today, I join the multitude of Vodacom customers that realise...years long loyalty means NOTHING! I also work in a complaints environment and also work remotely, so I know the challenges around that too, so I try my darndest not to complain but today I feel I have no choice. I recently took up offers of Vodacom data and airtime contracts via an external vendor - happiness there. happy with the product and happy with the service. However, the snag comes when trying to cancel contracts that have already expired. When you call their cancellations division, you are continuously cut off. Nobody deigns to call you back. When you email to complain, like I did on 22 July 2020, you also don't even get an acknowledgement of receipt of your cancellation. Today, once again, I tried contacting Vodacom cancellations and again - got a Cynthia on the line and needless to say, got cut off mid-sentence. Not to be deterred or unreasonable, I called again and got a Musa on the line - who spoke to me in his vernacular language despite my affirmation that I cannot understand him and got cut off again, mid sentence. I tried calling their customer care line to complain that I cannot complete a conversation with their cancellations division and wait for it...... I got cut off before I even got through to a consultant. REALLY Vodacom!???!!! you are a telecommunications GIANT. Do you want to tell me that your technology makes you uncontactable when thechnology is your stock and trade? ?????!!!! This is DISTURBING! And when you go to a Vodacom store, where the staff are sweet, kind, helpful and friendly - they are unable to help because they are not the 'cancellations' division or the Customer Service division. Shocking! You need to up your game Vodacom! Other companies are getting it right - why can't you?
