VODACOM'S REFUSAL TO ACCEPT TIMEOUS CANCELLATION OF CONTRACT

I am absolutely exhausted from trying to resolve my dispute with Vodacom, and to no avail. During October 2020 I contacted Vodacom to confirm when my contract finishes as I wanted to give sufficient time for it to "die a natural death", thus cancel it timeously. There was confirmed that my contract ended mid December 2020, but that I need not give a month's notice, can just cancel on the day the contract ends. I even asked whether he is sure...yes. Few days before the end date of the contract I noted that on the My Vodacom App that I'm not being charged my contract amount, but the going rate for the data package, being more. I phoned to query. Was told contract ended. Told them I was under impression 3 days to go, thus still my contract price, and that I am canceling. Tried to convince me to keep the line open, I refused, insisted I want the difference between the contract price and going price written back...."your query has been escalated..." To date still nothing. Now I see on My Vodacom App that the data plan has again been loaded, AGAIN with the normal going rate. After speaking to numerous consultants for approximately 3 hours, some attempting to assist but the line being cut off....it ends by *being told to give 30 days notice *notice running till end of January 2021 *full amount being charged *line being kept open.

The more I refer to my telephonic discussion in October 2020, which should be "recorded for quality purposes", the less attention is given. They can go listen to the discussion and the problem would be sorted. PLUS My first call complaining about cancellation was 10 DECEMBER 2020....why now continue till 31 January 2021.

Oh, and ask to speak to a manager or supervisor!!! Covid....none there!

So while I once again received a number for my escalated query I requested a call from a supervisor, manager or even legal department. I know how contracts work, I know about notice periods, cancellation of contracts, I also know what was advised by one of their consultants and later confirmed by another.

Despite numerous and numerous phonecalls and queries and further complaints, still nothing.

Now I am being harassed to pay the account, to which I have the complaint, and when I mention my complaint.....sorry mam, we are the accounts department, can't assist you with that. How frustrating can you get?

Still waiting for feedback, despite "private replies" on this review. But NOTHING!!!!!!
