Vodacom's pathetic service

See below copy of my complaint to Vodacom which they have not yet resolved for a refund of a mere R150 On Wednesday, 27th November 2019 I attempted to purchase airtime using the Vodacom number *111#. I entered 3 to BUY and managed to make an airtime purchase of R150 which I unfortunately did not receive. This was done using my Standard Bank cheque card which is already loaded for purchases. By the next morning – 28th November 2019 my account was still not credited with R150 airtime. I contacted Vodacom customer care line on 28th November and spoke to a lady who confirmed that Vodacom was having an issue with all bank purchases and that I should call the bank to reverse the payment as she could see the airtime was not loaded. I did that…I called Standard Bank who told me that the amount was already paid to Vodacom and that they could not reverse the payment as the funds were with Vodacom. Vodacom needs to reimburse me. On 6 Dec 2019 I called Vodacom and spoke to a gentleman – B.Tsotetsi who told me that he would process the refund. I spent 22 minutes on the call explaining the issue and also informed him that the account holder was my husband – I.Rampersadh and that he banks with FNB BUT I made the purchase from my phone and that I bank with Standard Bank. He asked if I wanted the airtime and I said I did not as I need to make a few urgent calls that evening and had resorted to purchasing airtime from PEP. He then proceeded to taking down my banking details and I was concerned because he did not ask for my name etc, only the bank account number. He gave me a reference number which was received on my phone via sms – ***. Later that evening both my husband and myself received sms’s from Vodacom stating that the query had been closed and that my husband should contact FNB!!!! Even after wasting almost half an hour explaining that the purchase was made from MY Standard Bank account and not my husband’s FNB account, Vodacom still goes and closes off the query without doing a thing! So, I called Vodacom again, this time speaking to Thandaza who cut the call on me when I asked to speak to a Team Leader and then lastly speaking to Loyiso who told me that I need to send my complaint to the Customer Care email at Vodacom because Standard Bank is “enjoying the fees received from this transaction” so they need to refund me. I need a refund of my R150 to my Standard Bank account. I don’t care who is responsible for the refund – all I know is that Vodacom did not provide a service which they billed me for through my Standard Bank cheque account and two weeks later I am having to waste time on logging email and Hellopeter complaints trying to get R150 back from them. Please can I get a response asap, between Standard Bank and Vodacom – I should not be in the middle of your technical issues. Between my spouse and myself we have been loyal customers for more than 10 years with both your institutions. Vodacom - You are welcome to contact my husband who is the account holder.

Since lodging the complaint, I have neither been contacted by a single consultant from Vodacom, not has my query been resolved. Please understand that Standard Bank has confirmed payment to Vodacom but I have still not yet received the airtime of R150 which I attempted to purchase in November 2019. Yes, 2 months ago!!!
