Vodacom’s operational hours

Your operating hours on your window say 08:30. Your operating hours on google say 08:30. So I needed help and turned up at 08:20, early I know, and waited for ten minutes. The manager and staff were in a meeting.

By 08:45 I knocked on the door along with another customer and they told us to wait 5 minutes. So we did.

By 09:00 we knocked again and were told to wait till 9... which it already was.

By 09:10 I knocked (alone as the other customer with me had enough and just left - but not alone as there were several other customers waiting in the vicinity) and asked them why they were taking so long. They told me to check their times on the window around the corner so I did(refer to first line).

They finally did open at 09:20. I took a ticket and waited inside. While there I asked one of the staff if he was the manager and he said that he was. I asked him what that 40 minute delay was for. He said no, 20 minutes. I said your store opens at 08:30, it is now 09:20 , that’s 40 minutes. He insists it says 09:00 on the window so I tell him to go check – he walks in the wrong direction so I stopped and corrected him – he comes back with an apology and tells me that they will change it to 09:00.

It’s been 2 months and it hasn’t changed. That tells me that, daily, customers are waiting outside and they don’t care. And even if they need a meeting, that shouldn’t be during our time.

Encase you were wondering, I bought a phone which was supposed to receive “free” data. I went there two months in a row, they logged a complaint and I got data. Since then I haven’t received any data. You’re telling me that if I want my “free” data I have to wait in line monthly? No thanks. But was worse to me is that this store obviously doesn’t care about it’s customers time.
