Vodacom's online site offers are questionable if they are real or not???

I am a current Vodacom customer for the past 14 years and I just upgraded my contract. I took a new contract on Friday, 23 November 2018. It was an online Application and it was a Black Friday Deal for a SIM only contract with a SAMSUNG 40” LED SMART TV with 5 GIGS DATA for 24 months. I then received the below mail from Vodacom saying that the application was well received and that a call centre agent will call me shortly to complete the application. I have not received any calls nor any emails from Vodacom to continue with this process. So I tried calling the number provided on the below mail, however I got no joy as I was transferred from one person to the other and nobody could assist me. This was the whole day that I have been trying with the call centre. No one knew what was going on. At the time on taking the contract the online site did show there was 14 still available, hence it allowed me to take the contract, otherwise it wouldn’t have allowed me to click on it, because it would show SOLD OUT as I have seen on some of the other deals. As you would see on the bottom mail, it did show - STOCK STATUS : STOCK AVAILABLE ONLINE

This is the mail after the Online Application :

Hi Na We have received your Vodacom contract application (reference number******************************) but before we can process it, we need to check a few things. Total cost (incl. VAT) R249.00 p/m

So i waited and waited with no feedback from Vodacom. I then sent a mail to Vodacom and this is the response i got back :

Hi Nigel Chetty,

Ticket: *********************************************

Kindly be advised the deal has been depleted and offer valid whilst stocks last. Please refer to the below T&C's. 1. The Offer is open to all natural persons including Vodacom staff, 18 years or older with a valid South African ID, who are upgrading, or purchasing, any of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals that are exclusive to Vodacom Online - www.vodacom.co.za, from 00h01 on 23 November 2018 to 23h59 on 26 November 2018 (“End Date”). 2. Stock is limited, and deals are only valid until stock lasts. 3. The Offer does not apply to migrations. 4. Stock can only be guaranteed at order confirmation and not at time of application. 5. Due to the demand over the promotional period customers could experience Delayed Delivery 6. Customers purchasing the SIM only deal with a Samsung smart LED television must be in possession of a valid television license .

This is utter nonsense because i took the deal when there was stock available and now they tell me this???

I am totally dissatisfied with this and i actually wonder if these deals were honestly available. This level of service it totally unacceptable and unprofessional for a large company like Vodacom. If Vodacom does not sort this out and give me what i app**** for then this will be the last that i ever deal with them. It will only be the right thing for Vodacom to keep to their deal and if not, then its clear that their Black Friday Deals were all ****!!!

So once again, no satisfaction from Vodacom. Had someone call me yesterday from Vodacom after my post on hellopeter. The person that called me, told me that that he was not in the right department to help me but this is the feedback he got. So Vodacom doesn't even get the correct people to resolve the issue. How unprofessional!!! I spoke to a guy by the name of Ashwin. Nothing has been resolved and he did tell me that "NOTHING CAN BE DONE" and "NOTHING WILL BE DONE" regarding the deal. Really??? Is this the way to speak to a loyal customer of over 14 years??? It's rather pathetic to deal with this kind of service. So i told Ashwin that i would like to speak to the manager and he said that they are all busy and he will get a manger to give me a call. So the manager calls me after a while and i explain my situation to him now, after probably explaining my situation to the every person that works for Vodacom ( because i was transferring to so many people ). He says that he will look into it and call me back. This was yesterday and i still haven't got a call as yet. So once again, nothing has been resolved, no feedback. I really cant believe that a big company like Vodacom can do this to their customers and provide such pathetic customer service. They debit our accounts every month without fail, but don't provide the level of service that is required of them. Seems like all they care about is our MONEY!!!
