Vodacom's no mercy policies

My contract expired, and a lady from Vodacom phoned me to offer an extension. She promised that I could change the package at a later stage. Because I was quite busy, I accepted her offer.

After the recent price increase, I decided I would prefer to go for a lower package, especially since we have also received a 20% salary reduction.

The lady at the call centre told me I would have to pay a fine if I changed the package. The fine would cost more than if I had to stay on my current subscription. This is unfair and *********. They don't consider their customers' circumstances.

I am very unhappy. I have been a happy client with Vodacom ever since its inception, but my mind has changed after this incident. As soon as my contract runs out, I will discontinue my subscription forever. Vodacom will never see or hear from me again.
