Vodacom's latest upgrade strategy: Misrepresentation ie BLATANTLY LIE TO CLIENTS

On 22 January I received a call from Vodacom. The employee advised me that I need to change my contracts since the tariff plans for the three numbers I hold with Vodacom will be phased out and I need to be migrated to new tariff plans. I then explicitly asked whether my contract end dates will be extended and they assured me it would not. I was brought under the impression that I had no option but to move to new tariff plans. I was then passed to the supervisor who also blatantly **** to me about the following two points:

1) My tariff plans are being phased out which is why I have NO CHOICE but to migrate to new packages 2) Once again assured me that my contract end dates WILL NOT be extended

On 30 January I received messages "congratulating" me on my upgrades and advising me that my new contract dates are now in 2027.

I was furious, since I had been **** to - BLATANTLY. I called 082135 to register my objection. Spoke to a lady called Onathi Nonganga. She promised to escalate the issue and that someone would phone me back.

Needless to say, no one called me. I now find myself sitting on my phone trying to get hold of someone who can sort this out for me.

This is absolutely ********* and I feel the employees who **** to me should be disciplined. They are most likely being incentivised for upgrades. Is this a new(dishonest) Vodacom strategy to get upgrades done?
