Vodacom's Insurance *****

I upgraded online in August 2018. The consultant asked me if I would like to insure my new handset and I obviously said yes. On 1 Feb 2019, my Huawei P20 pro was ****** out of my house. After getting a case number at the Police station, I handed everything to Vodacom. For 3 weeks, I went to Vodashop in my lunch hour almost everyday, just to listen to the NEW VODACOM INSURANCE, NOT ANSWERING. They eventually gave me the number for the insurance to try to phone them myself. I never got an answer. Then one day, Vodashop phoned me to come in. At last they got hold of the insurance, but they say that unfortunately, they will only be able to replace my Huawei P20 pro with a Huawei P20 lite. Now, WHY would I want a LITE if I had the PRO??? They just said Sorry, that is all the insurance are willing to pay out. No answer from the insurance from then.

So then... I claimed a new Huawei P20 pro from my house insurance, which is a complete different company, because Vodacom's new insurance company is just completely non-existent!

That is the story, now here is my problem -

Vodacom is still charging me for my handset on my contract. I feel, I did provide a case number, I have insurance, the insurance must pay Vodacom for my ****** device and Vodacom must take the handset off my bill every month. Vodacom knows I don't have that handset anymore and they didn't want to replace it, so why am I still paying for that handset? I replaced the handset on my own because the insurance is useless!

When I phoned Vodacom accounts, they just said Sorry mam, you signed a contract for 2 years which includes the handset... I KNOW, but WHO breached the contract here in the first place??I signed a contract that my handset will be replaced when ****** as well and they don't seem to care about that?!

I am now still paying for a handset that my insurance did not replace and I am still paying for insurance that did not replace my handset and doesn't answer a phone ever!

I want my Handset amount removed from my monthly contract bill and I want the insurance amount removed from my contract bill - I will use another company.
