VODACOM's INEFFICIENCIES AFFECTING CUSTOMER'S CREDIT RATING, LET ALONE THEIR INEFFICIENCY OF ATTENDING TO QUERIES ON TIME
I have been with Vodacom for more than 30 years, every time I do an upgrade something goes wrong thus when I spoke to the consultant who assisted me to do the upgrade I made sure we were both clear.
I upgraded my contract on the 2nd of February 2026. I am a VIP customer who had been paying approximately R3300 per month and was upgrading without a unit. I asked the consultant that nothing should go wrong because the new contract should kick in in the next month. What she did was she initiated the new contract to start on the same day. Any fool would understand that this was not necessary, also if there is a pro-rata which was to be paid two days cannot cost R1600 which is the extra money I was charged. My first call the consultant told me about delivery fees, I told her no there cannot be because I did not take a unit, this was just an upgrade. My agreement with the consultant who assisted me was that the new contract will kick in on the 1st of March, in fact she advised that to avoid pro-rata's and all that the contract will be incepted on the 1st of March. I lodged my complaint on the 31st of March to date it has not been resolved. The inconvenience this has caused me is that it has an effect on my other debit orders. Giving Vodacom access to my account does not allow them to add on as and when they wish. The inconvenience this has caused me is too much and I do not think Vodacom realises that such inconvenience goes on one's financial record. One of the team leaders promised to attend to this querry personally which was more than 8 days ago to date they still have not been able to get the recording of my conversation with their consultant. It has been 16 days!
