Vodacom’s Incompetence Is Destroying My Credit Life!

Vodacom has shown nothing but gross negligence and arrogance in handling my account closure. I settled my account in full on 13 March 2025 (R12,040.15 via FNB – proof of payment attached), yet more than a year later they still refuse to update my credit profile.

I have emailed, phoned, escalated, and begged Vodacom’s so-called legal department and customer care lines (*** / ***). The result? Silence. Ignored emails. No clearance certificate. No correction of the false arrears listing.

Because of Vodacom’s incompetence, my credit report remains wrongly flagged, and this has directly blocked me from buying a home. Their failure to act is not just lazy — it is reckless, damaging, and a violation of consumer rights under the National Credit Act.

Vodacom’s behavior is disgraceful. They are quick to blacklist customers but refuse to fix their own mess when accounts are settled. This is *****ulent conduct that destroys lives.

I demand immediate action:

Issue my clearance certificate without further delay.

Correct the false listing with all credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian, XDS, Compuscan).

Provide written confirmation of closure.

Vodacom’s silence is not just bad service — it is deliberate harm. Consumers deserve better than this abuse.

Reviewer Update
This issue is still not resolved, I just checked my credit report and the account still appears on my profile. Mind you, this issue has been going on for 3 years now
