Vodacom's Incompetence

I made an outstanding payment to Vodacom on Black Friday and called the cancellations department that same day to cancel my contract, which I had since 2019. I was sent from one person to another without getting proper help and eventually one guy told me they wouldn't be able to assist me because it was Black Friday and that I should call back Monday morning. I called on Monday morning and the lady I spoke to seemed to be helpful and said she was processing the cancellation. She said I would no longer be billed by Vodacom nor get any of the data, minutes and sms's, which is what I wanted but on Wednesday night I noticed that I had data, minutes and sms's so this morning (Thursday) I called Vodacom to inquire about what was going on and they told me the payment I made on Friday only reflected on Wednesday therefore my contract was not yet cancelled and the cancellation would only take effect at the end of December and I was billed double what I used to pay for the contract. I am now expected to pay for data I did not want nor need. This is outrageous and the customer care at Vodacom is despicable
