Vodacom's Incompetence Affecting ME!!

I paid of my contract and converted my number ***) to prepaid many months ago, l have even forgotten. Today, l find myself in a foreign country and l want to activate SMS roaming, so l follow the basic instruction (SMS "Roamon" to 31050 or 123 - 123 doesn't work!). Nothing happens, so l call the international customer care and am told my account is in Pre-legal status because l overpaid by R6, so Vodacom has to refund me the R6, and until that is sorted Customer Care can also not help me put my number on SMS roaming.

Now this is what l call nonsense of the highest order. Vodacom's internal issues leading to failure to properly end my contract should not inconvenience me!!!! How am l a part of this nonsense? I'm suck here as l can't access my bank account all thanks to this bull**** from Vodacom.
