Vodacom's Deplorable Service - A Saga of Deceit and Frustration

My recent encounter with Vodacom has left me incensed, utterly disillusioned, and driven to share this furious review. Vodacom's actions, or rather, inactions, have pushed me to my limit, and it is with a heavy heart that I must recount my pitiful experience.

The inception of my exasperation began with a migration plan that Vodacom (or a third party acting on Vodacom’s behalf) promised would save me money. What followed was an unnecessary ordeal with a statement showing almost R800 more. Instead of financial relief, I found myself shackled to a migration plan that has inflated my monthly costs by an astonishing R400 per device. This is not only a slap in the face but an outright betrayal.

To add insult to injury, Vodacom brazenly redirected me to the very third party that had originally deceived me with this nightmarish migration option. This third-party involvement further muddied the waters of this already absurd situation. Their response was no less than exasperating, as they displayed a complete disinterest in assisting me and instead of telling me about the Terms of Conditions and how they NEVER mention costs nor savings.

As if this nightmare wasn't enough, I was then presented with a jaw-dropping penalty of R1200 per device for daring to extricate myself from this morass. This arbitrary and punitive penalty reeks of ******ion and underscores the depths to which Vodacom has sunk in its treatment of loyal customers.

The term "pathetic" barely scratches the surface of the infuriation coursing through my veins. Vodacom's conduct has been nothing short of disgraceful, and I am left with no option but to express my seething anger and stern disapproval.

Vodacom, a company entrusted with the responsibility of providing essential services, should be held to a higher standard of integrity and customer care. This flagrant violation of trust is an affront to every customer who relies on Vodacom for their communication needs.

My plea to Vodacom is to rectify this ridiculous ordeal. The trust you have so recklessly squandered can only be rebuilt through earnest efforts to rectify this.

I’ll afford Vodacom a response before exploring efforts with the Consumer Protection Act.

Hi

Thanks, it's your same social media team that re-directed me to the same third party now claiming T&C's and how they NEVER mention savings and that I am liable for penalties. I have asked for my recording of the call only to be told about POPiA, what they don't get is that I have right to access my information. I'm awaiting their call to listen to the recording.. ...
