Vodacom's Customer Care Sucks
Hi, I am tired of vodacom. I have mutiple contracts with them and am having endless issues. 1. On the 3rd October i logged a complaint of my fibre not working, there was some talk of it being caused by the load shedding etc. Nevertheless, I took it up with vodacom and thought that something would be done about it soon. I couldn't have been more wrong. I called about a week later to get an update and was told that they could not do anything on there side as it was a metro fibre issue. Again after a few more days I called to find out what was the latest update, I was told they waiting on metro fibre. I asked for the supervisor and was assured that it would escalated further, and was also told that I would not be charged for the time of no service. And that if need be I will be credited in the next months bill for lack of service. So I paid the bill in full at the end of October thinking that by November I would have service and would get a credit for no service. The entire month of November passed, I asked a friend to check with Metro Fibre to see if maybe they could do something because according to Vodacom it was Metro Fibres fault. So They asked for some details and when given they said it was not even on the system and that was up to Vodacom to do. It is now December, I have still not been credited for no service for the entire October and November and have paid the bill in full for both months and now, have got the new statement still not reflecting any credit whatsoever. Also I have cancelled my fibre service in November and why should I have to give 30 days notice for a service I have not received for the last 60 days.
2. In 2020 I took out a contract with Vodacom and was told that I was misinformed. According to what was explained to me I signed the contract, apparently what was on the contract was not explained correctly by someone. Anyways i was emailed a copy of the contract explaining what the contract really meant. However, when i went into the store and asked for the contract I signed, the consultant had written in their own handwriting explaining otherwise. I mentioned this to a friend in passing that has a Vodacom store and he said that they having similar issues with customers on the same package. This cant be a coincidence, he told me that should send him the details and he would add it to the many other cases he has of customers with the exact same problem. Apparently, he has an email from Vodacom saying that they will honour the deal because it seems to have been problem with the advert from Vodacom in the first place. Today I received a call from Vodacom and had to explain to the consultant the same problem again and after sometime she understood what the problem was, she then asked me to email her proof of the signed contract of myself and before she could give me the email we were cut off. I thought she would call again, but hey i guess that's Vodacom's customer care. ( They just don't care.)
I cant wait to speak to someone senior there to give them a real piece of my mind.
