Vodacom's brazen theft of client's monies!

It's amazing how entitled Vodacom feels over the their clients finances. During a pandemic they have the nerve to take money from those who are struggling to serve themselves. A few days before the debit order for August was meant to go off we received a statement with an amount ridiculously above what our monthly premium would normally be. Upon enquiry we were informed that one of our phones was insured by Vodacom and thus our payment went up. We asked who requested this cover and for what phone. Vodacom told us that it was system automated in June, no one requested but Vodacom's systems decided ALL BY THEMSELVES to ensure one of our phones and which phone was that?? A phone not contracted with Vodacom. We had insurance with Vodacom until February after they refused to fix a phone that was taken on contract with them so we cancelled the contract and we bought another phone cash and insured it with our household contents only for Vodacom to inform us in August that they chose to insure this phone (the new one) out of their own free will and to charge us for their decision! Upon receiving the statement in August and getting the information about how this happened we demanded a cancellation and that they refund us the money for this insurance that we did not ask for. This was done with finrite, we received confirmation on 26 August 2020 from Thato Makgwale, however for September the same thing is happening. We called both finrite and vodacom and the cancellation was clearly not processes, no one bothered to check that the process was done properly and a month later an elderly man is being bled dry by Vodacom for what little money he has during this tough time where there's no additional income and all we get is that "it seems to be an IT problem, we will have to resend the cancellation" and with all that we won't be included in the mails with supervisors and admin, back office and IT so that we can keep proper track of this matter because we are told its internal communication even though this is a matter that affects us directly and we want to know who is responsible to ensure this is resolved and we are refunded.

Vodacom WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!!!!!!You have no right to do what you did and then drag your feet correcting it!

If it is the intention of Vodacom to continue to break its contractual agreement with us, we will do the same!

You seem to not have understood the above complaint. We made it clear that should you continue to break your contractual agreement we will do the same. Debit orders for Vodacom have been stopped. You will not receive a single cent untill you refund the money you took *******ly and provide us with the correct invoice. We won't pay R 1100 or R 1400 (amounts which seem to change with your mood). We spoke to one of your consultants, Paulina, who was supposed to send all the invoices since your system error and she never sent them, your other 2 consultants just hung up or kept us on the line without saying a word. This blatant disrespect of your customers will not yield any results. We wont pay your fabricated amounts and we wont keep chasing you to correct it, we've done enough chasing!
