VODACOMS BRAND GOING DOWN THE DRAIN

Our Samsung Galaxy S6 handset had been booked in on the 25/07/2016 for a cracked screen due to the device falling. When we enquired on the progress we were told that the housing had been damaged as well, we responded by requesting to have only the screen repaired and not anything else (meaning the housing). This never happened, when going in store to check the handset it was not in working condition and would not switch on at all (it was working 100% when booked into the vodacom store and functioning). We spoke too Sean Gibbson (customer service manager) who had been handling the enquire and tells us on the 08/09/2016 that the pc board is broken which had ever been mentioned before since 25/07/2016. The handset had been put into the "samsung oven" to remove the cover which had melted as per Sean, if the back cover had melted what other damage could have occured to the pc board in the process. A temp front cover had been supp**** where it was found that the temp cover LCD was damaged and caused purple pressure points to appear on the screen. We then requested that the LCD of the temp cover be repaired and was quotationed R2600 on the 31/08/2016. When following up on the 06/09/2016 we were told that the pc board is damaged now, thats why it has the purple effect on the screen (this was not the case when the handset was taken to the store to have it repaired the screen did not change colour at all). On the 08/09/2016 we have spoken to Leonard Nel (Vodacom Sales and Operation Manager) to discuss the matter and find a solution and a way forward, not willing to discuss issue and stated that he is not willing to fix the phone and does not want to take ownership that the technical staff had damaged our phone further. We are even willing to pay half of the R6000 that was mention this afternoon by Leonard Nel to have to handset repaired due to that fact that we had dropped the handset but additional damage had been coursed by Vodacom's techical staff who worked on the phone. The fact that one small franchise can tarnish a Big Brand like vodacom (no customer service).
