Vodacom's abuse of confidential customer information- it's relationship with Mondo

I have been a subscriber to a Vodacom Data contract for 2 years. Without my permission, a related company, Mondo , called me, mentioning the name Vodacom, and since they knew my contract details, I had no reason to suspect that I was not talking to a dinkum Vodacom agent. In brief, instead of a renewed contract with a replacement Router device, I get a SECOND contract that I certainly don't need. Dialling the number ***I found it impossible to get through to a live person. I drove to a Vodacom store to sort it out, a month ago, with promises to have the device collected so that the 2nd, unnecessary contract can be cancelled - to no avail. Apparently it is not actually Vodacom, but a confusing alignment with another company called MONDO, which they referred to at the Vodacom shop as Vodacom Rewards. I have been rewarded with weeks of hassle for 2 years of loyal support! Ndumiso is my contact there, and the truth is not in him. WHY does a reputable (?) company like Vodacom team up with other companies unknown to us, the c ustomer, and give them information to make deals on it's behalf? Is this not de facto abuse of customer's confidential information? Bruce Cleary.
