Vodacom's 24 or 36 month contracts are a LIE

Vodacom is lying to you if they explicitly tell you their contracts are 24 or 36 months because they will not allow you to cancel them.

I recently told Vodacom that I will not renew their contract once it expires after 24 months 2 months earlier. I even called them 10 days before my contract expired to remind them that I will not renew.

Law and Behold, a Debit order was processed against my account, a dispute against the debit order was logged and successfully cancelled by my bank. An email notification was received by Vodacom finally acknowledging that my number has been converted to pre-paid.

Now 2 months later, my credit record has me defaulting on my Vodacom account. I think Vodacom is in the business of destroying people's reputation.
