Vodacom/MTN tower coverage

Vodacom is not repairing the shared tower with MTN. The MTN signal from the transmitter in the Koo Valley between Montagu and Touws River on the R318 has been off since Tuesday 21 September. The tower is on the farm Versameling. The matter was reported to MTN Coverage on Thursday 23 September and again on Monday 27 September at their Coverage Call Centre. I was informed that the tower is a shared Vodacom tower and the matter has been reported to them. The tower belongs to Vodacom. Due to there being no signal, no data is being transmitted. No payments of wages, deductions or allowances can take place in the farming community. Must we now have labour unrest, burning of farms, riot police and high profile news in our area again, before action takes place. There are more than 300 seasonal workers and their families that must be paid.
