Vodacom/Cellsure Insurance Ripoffs
So I've always been contemplating on taking out a contract phone with Vodacom... needless to say taking out insurance. (CELLSURE)
Well I gave it some thought and gave them the benefit of the doubt and took out a phone of R589 per month and with insurance it all came down to R788. (Sony Expria XZ)
My phone went missing my claim was approved for R12000 for the amount it was insured for correct, however what the contract does not state is that if I want to claim for a phone over the value of R12000 that It should only be a phone with same brand name Sony Which is the brand I owned and I should pay the difference over. Now my problem is why allow me to pay the difference for a phone (Sony) that is more expensive than the one I owned of R12000. Cellsure/Vodacom wants to give me a choice of only the Sony Experia XZ2 only which is R15000, but not for a other brand phone over R12000. I don't mind paying the difference over R12000, but don't tell me I can only take one brand.if not stipulated in your contract.
This is my first and last contract phone with Vodacom ever. Besides the difference over R12000 the claim says you liable for 20% of the value of the phone. It just all ads up you just never win.
Now me as a customer still has 60 days to claim or els my claim expires and gets forfeit. Such nonsense.
I don't want to be bul**** into taking a phone I don't like and it's not my problem you can't replace my phone. Make a plan I want my same phone then. If I can't take a phone I like then wait until I'm ready to claim don't give me 60 days I paid for my insurance not you and don't tell me about taking a cheapy.
I will take this matter further to your head office and escalate.
So sick and tired of Vodacom ripoffs.
