Vodacom your (collections) service is PATHETIC!!!!!

So as I sit here typing this review, let me start with the fact I am STILL on hold for 15min whilst waiting on the collections department to answer their phones.

My account was in arrears due to retrenchment last year, but the full arrears were settled 26 February 2021. By 5 March 2021 I called in to enquire as to why my contract wasn't reinstated and I was told I needed to call in and request it - which I then did after customer care confirmed the monies reflected as paid, and transfered me to the collections department. There I was told the same thing and that it would take 24hrs (fine no problem). TWO days later I call in again, STILL nothing on my contract and I am on the road with a dead phone. I am told "oh sorry there must have been a delay on our side or something with the system, let us try again - it will take 24hrs". FINE! 10 March I call, and after 3 attempts from being cut off I finally get through to collections department, and I am told oh it will take 24hrs by which time I am now fuming and politely explain to the gentleman that I am merely venting and this is not a personal attack on him but I find it extremely frustrating that I must wait this long .... to which he replies "yes sir, but we also had to wait for your payment" ?!?!?!??!! Really? Now its 11 March and past the 24hrs and so I call in AGAIN - customer service has been trying for 15min to get me through to collections department as I refused to end the call till I was through as my phone is STILL NOT ACTIVATED! Who else am I to turn to, to get my damn phone activated? And then come end of this month they will want FULL monthly premium for a half a month's service provided which is not on! Vodacom best pull up their socks as (I have been a client for 19 years) but seriously considering a move, and then not just myself, but wife and kids too. I will take this beyond Hellopeter if need me and blast them on every social media platform I have access to and then go to a store and make a decent scene about it and introduce them to the male Karen!
