Vodacom wrongfully upgrading to onerous package + terrible service

So I am running a small business (largely impacted by Covid) and use my Vodacom mobile quite extensively for business. I pay 1,275.99r/h a month which is already a huge amount of money bearing in mind Vodacom isn't even able to ensure mobile internet during load-shedding (so my business is down at the same time Eskom is). A Vodacom consultant calls me out of the blue to offer me to switch me to another plan more cost-effective (billing per second, etc), at the EXACT SAME PRICE. I put this in capital letters as I have made him repeat 3 times just to make sure 100%. He says that anyway calls are recorded and that anyway any problem would be sorted - no need to send a quote, everything is managed by phone and activated. A few days go by and I receive my invoice of 1,635.99.....!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HECK!! I called the service centre at the beginning of last week (after calling back 3 times just to get through). I explain the issue to the lady and she asked me if I received a quote? Not only I have not, but also this 1st person who called me just blatantly **** to me. She said someone will go back to me in a couple days but unsurprisingly nobody does.

If don't sort this out RIGHT NOW and that's the way you treat your customers (been with Vodacom for 10 years), I am gonna move everything to MTN in a blink. At least those guys are able to ensure service during load-shedding (and they are cheaper). We pay a premium with Vodacom; I am really starting to wonder why. Ref number: ***

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

So then please explain why I have been reimbursed by Vodacom and Customer have apologised?!

It's your response that is invalid.

It just shows that there is something highly dysfunctional in your organisation.
