Vodacom would not cover phone in warranty
Shortly after getting my blackberry on contract, I had a problem with the track pad. I returned the phone to Vodacom Blue Route Mall, Tokai & advised them that the track pad was faulty. 2 months later In January 2014 the same problem occurred. I was informed that the phone would be sent to Maitland for repair. After Vodacoms Technicians assessment they said that I had sent the phone to an unauthorized dealer and that it had been reworked. The phone was then sent to the Advanced Repair Centre in JHB & where once again it was analyzed as rework and that I would have to pay R479.00. Bearing in mind the phone is still under warranty..... who in their right mind would take it to an unauthorized dealer to be repaired. <br> I was even told by Vodacom Blue Route Mall, Tokai that they would pay for the cost of repairs because they thought my point was valid. Only to be told by the Branch Manager that the phone is now beyond economical repair and that the Director Tim Mitchell would make contact with me. After a couple of weeks (March 2014) of him not calling me, I eventually called him. Only for him to tell me that they will not be repairing the phone and that I can come and collect it.
