Vodacom - Worse than Telkom

On Friday the 25th I went to Vodacom Mall of the South to get a data contract as Telkom had let me down just once too often. I took a 50gGB day and 30GB night package tat was on special. The consultant Teboho was fantastic. I signed and was told that I would receive pro-rata data for the balance of the month. By my calculations approx 10GB. On Sunday at 11am I suddenly could not get online. I checked and I could connect with Telkom so I contacted vodacom on twitter. That was my first mistake. The more I explained the problem, the more I was told that my device needs to be checked for downloads and my app usage confirmed. I even supp**** screenshots from my app because it seems that vodacom can't tell me how much data I use. Then the app told me that feature was in beta and not available. I was then asked for the number of the sim when it was clearly visible at the top of the screenshot from the app that they wanted. I then logged off before I got any further frustrated.

I returned to Vodacom MOS to cancel the contract as dealing with vodacom is no better than dealing with telkom. I explained the situation and that I wanted to cancel. I then got a whole song and dance about penalties. I am entitled to cancel any contract within 7 days. The consultant obviously didn't process my request because later in the morning I received an sms stating that my query had been resolved. I also got an sms stating Iwas gifted 10GB.

Since I never got confirmation re the cancellation, I returned yet again this morning (Wednesday 30 September) I was informed that my data issue was resolved but NO CANCELLATION REQUEST WAS LOGGED. Since when does vodacom staff decide what a customer wants or doesn't?????

I now want this contract cancelled with immediate effect

Reviewer Update
Good day

As per ref *** supp**** with this review, I was their this morning to do exactly that. This ref claims its been resolved. Judging from your response it has not!!!! If you want to offer world class service then back it up with world class support... This contract should already be cancelled. I cancelled it at the branch on Monday. I cancelled it again today. How many more times must I travel to the store to get this resolved?
