VODACOM WOODMEAD IS TRYING TO **** ME

DISGUSTING SERVICE FROM LERATO AND THE VODACOM WOODMEAD BRANCH. I have been trying to get this situation rectified for the past 3 and a half months to no avail. i have been sent on a wild goose chase by Lerato and her team where no one seems to be taking responsibility. My mother is a red vip member and authorised an upgrade on her number for a phone for me now that I was entering university. I claimed on her behalf on account of her being away on business in Angola, where she is still stuck now. I opted to get insurance on the Iphone 11 pro that i bought with the understanding that it would be activated on my number as it is the one that would be using the phone and not my mother. the agent that assisted me with this, nonkulululeko, assured me that i would get insurance on my number, put my sim card in the phone (as i had done a sim swap in store) and sent me on my way. when i attempted to claim insurance, i was told that the number that was insured was my mothers number and not mine. Despite me confirming with the agent via whatsapp of the change of number, Lerato has refused to take responsibility. if the agent never activated insurance on my number why would she PUT THE INCORRECT NUMBER IN THE PHONE IN THE STORE, TELL ME I HAVE INSURANCE AND SEND ME ON MY WAY??? The agent has since been fired but vodacom is now asking ME for the change of number. this is ludicruous given the fact that i was never given the document and insurance has confirmed that the only number that has been active on the device is my number which rules out any foul play on my side! the insurance company, Finrite, has advised that this is vodacom's fault and must be resolved by them. Frankly, i feel completely taken advantage of. I have been unable to deal With lerato in person as i am stuck in Capetown for school but have sent my brother out on my behalf as well as visited vodacom stores in cape town. i find it incredibely unfair that i am being made to pay for the gross negligence of a vodacom employee. it is not up to me to know vodacom processes and if vodacom plans to hold me accountable for providing the documents that will cllear up the situation they should have given me the documents in question. Now Lerato is trying to say that we do not have insurance at all, despite the fact that we have been billed for the past month and my mother premium has gone up. How can they have no paper trial to prove insurance but i am still being charged. Frankly, if i have to make this a legal dispute, i will because i have attempted to be civil and follow procedure but vodacom seems deadset on avoiding accountability
