Vodacom with double standards

I took up a new contract on Wednesday, took an iPhone. Consultant advised me of the T&C and mentioned the 14 day cool off period. Got home i am not happy with the phone. So I went on Sunday to the same store and asked of i could exchange it since I do not like the phone. I was told "no, once you sign the contract, it's it - you can't exchange" what happened to the cool off period explained to me, what happened to the Customer protection act??? Even the website of vodacom says i have the right to exchange if i am not happy yet the vodacom store tells me otherwise? This is then double standards and not aligned to YOUR OWN CONTRACT I SIGNED...
